Welcome!
Welcome!
Ancient Egypt was considered the homeland of the Jungle cat. Living in proximity of the Nile River Valley. No animal was held in such high regard as the Egyptian cats. At the side of the pharaoh's mistress offering her protection & companionship because of the high intelligence and being highly skillful predators Egyptians hunted with these cats catching fowl & fish. There is significant evidence that these cats lived in Egypt before 2000 BC. In fact, archaeologists found human remains buried with cats in mounds in Mostagedda near Asyut dated around 6,000 years ago. In 1888 one tomb had an estimated 80,000 muffied felines. Only the Pharaoh had enough status to own these prestigious cats which were considered demigods. The Egyptians had statues displayed because of the belief in this godess they called called Bastet. Because of the sacredness of Bastet people try to illegally export these felines to neighboring countries which led to thriving & smuggling them. Court orders confirm the armies were dispatched to rescue & return kidnapped felines back to Egypt. It wasn't until the second half of the 20th century that Interest came about for these cats because of stories from American tourists. Jungle Cats were first introduced to America in 1960. In 1995 the Chausie standard was drawn up & in 2003 registered with TICA. Unfortunately the jungle cat ancestor to the Chausie is on the Red List due to human habitat encroachment, trapping & poisoning.
Each of our chausies have their own personality in addition to being tall, gorgeous , long & graceful but strongly built. "Most definitely Statuesque!" These Love cats (which my 6 year old daughter named them) are uncomparably intelligent, affectionate, socially outgoing & thrive on our human interaction. They're playful with the whole family including our two chiweenies. Some of our Chausies even respond to their name! When I asked Kiska for a kiss she comes a running. Chausies can be taught to play fetch & sit for a treat along with other verbal commands. My favorite part about owning a Chausie Cat is their deep connection with their humans & being gentle with our six-year daughter & grandbabies.
I have always had a special place in my heart for Chausies. We have been raising chausies for 20 years as a former hobbyist. In 2019 I had a phone conference with two Chausie members and at that point I made the decision to join TICA. It is our goal to keep this Ancient Majestic Breed thriving for many years to come & give Positive support our fellow Chausie Breeders. It's an honor for me to own older Phenomenal bloodlines from WildKatz, Blue Diamond Chausies & Reigning Cats. I'm blessed to be working with Awesome Honest Hearts & a drama-free Chausie group of breeders. Learn more about our collaborative effort at www.chausie-breed.com
We are a Tica registered cattery who is family oriented. Since I could remember we have always admired wild felines & other wild species. Some of our favorites are the Cougar, melanisitic Lion, Snow Leopard, Cheetah, White Tiger & the Canadian lynx.
All of our kittens are TICA registered. They must be 12 weeks of age before going to approved homes. Kittens will have appropriate vaccinations, preventative flea treatment, de-wormer & a care package. Kittens are priced between $900 & $8000. Our kittens are born in our bedroom with Moms by our side the whole time giving comfort to moms & sometime help birth the kittens if mom is struggling. Our Babies are affectionately expressive with a endless supply of love & affection from myself & my daughters. A word of advice from my six year old daughter Katana " If you want a love cats like my Lolli you have to rub them for an hour every single day"
